Witness

Witness is an international human rights organization that provides training and support to local groups to use video in their human rights advocacy campaigns.

EqualShot principal Barbara Becker created Witness's first hands-on training programs for human rights activists and traveled to Israel, Palestine, Egypt and Cyprus to work with noted human rights activists on the use of electronic equipment to document abuses.

Barbara also collaborated with Witness founder Peter Gabriel to popularize the project through VH1 music concerts and wide-spread media attention, serving as the organization's spokeswoman.
